Description: This is an assignment of an order of an annuity in trust for Edward Lloyd’s benefit. It states he is of the parish of St Mary Woolnoth, London, Coffeeman and administrator to his late wife, Eliza’s estate. It is to Richard Elford, Citizen and Merchant Taylor of London for five shillings to be paid on an annuity of £10 for the residue of the original term of 99 years from 25 March 1706. The annuity was the property of Eliza Lloyd. Edward Lloyd swore an affadavit to ensure his second wife, Martha benefitted from the annuity as sole executrix. With the exception perhaps of the signature of Thomas Abney, a witness, the document is a holograph manuscript and therefore appears to be a contemporary copy rather than the original assignment.

Notes: There is a printed transcript mounted under the deed.
