Description: Lithograph print with a coloured wash showing the interior quadrangle of the third Royal Exchange, with people and the statue of Queen Victoria. The building was opened by the Queen in 1844 after the second Royal Exchange burnt down in a fire of 1838. Lloyd’s continued to takes rooms upstairs and remained there until 1928. Titled: ‘New Royal Exchange: View of the Quadrangle (Merchant’s Area). The lithographer was C M Firth and it was drawn by C F Porden.
